Mga Tanong tungkol sa SKYdirect Franchise

Hindi, ito po ay hiwalay.

Nag-apply ng hiwalay na franchise ang SKY noong 1995 at nag-expire ngayong May 4, 2020. Nagkataon lang po na sabay ang expiry sa ABS-CBN.

Is SKY part of the ABS-CBN Franchise?

No. It is separate.

SKY applied for a separate franchise in 1995 and which expired in May 4, 2020. It is incidental that the SKY franchise expiry happened at the same time as ABS-CBN.

Ang cease and desist order ay naguutos na ipatigil ang pagpapatakbo ng nasabing direct-to-home service ng SKY. Nag-expire po ang prangkisa noong May 4, 2020.

Alinsunod sa utos, itinigil namin ang broadcast ng SKYdirect simula June 30, 2020.

Ginagawa po namin ang lahat ng legal na hakbang para ibalik sa inyo ang aming serbisyo. Una dito ay ang paghingi ng muling pagsasaalang-alang ng nasabing utos.

Sa diwa ng pagiging patas, patuloy kaming umaapila sa NTC na bigyan kami ng parehong pribilehiyong naibigay dati sa ibang kumpanya na napaso ang prangkisa habang dinidinig ng Kongreso ang mga panukalang magre-renew dito.

What is the Cease and Desist order that NTC issued to SKY?

The cease and desist order directs SKY to immediately cease its direct to home (DTH) or SKYdirect operations. The franchise expired May 4, 2020.

In compliance to the order, we have ceased our broadcast effective June 30, 2020.

We assure our subscribers that we will exhaust all legal remedies to resume our services. As a first step, we will seek the reconsideration of the cease and desist order.

In the spirit of fairness, we continue to appeal to the NTC to extend the same privilege given in the past to other companies whose franchises have expired but are currently pending in Congress to continue its operations until a resolution is passed.

Hindi po. Patuloy ang serbisyo ng SKYcable at SKY Fiber services dahil hindi ito apektado ng franchise expiration. Hindi nangangailangan ng legislative franchise ang mga cable TV systems. Pawang ang direct-to-home (DTH) service ang apektado ng CDO.

Does the Cease and Desist order issued to SKY include SKYcable and SKY Fiber services?
No. SKYcable and SKY Fiber services will remain operational as these services are unaffected by the franchise expiration. A cable TV system does not require a legislative franchise. The CDO only covers our direct to home (DTH) or SKYdirect services.

Hindi na po makakapag-load at makakapanood ng anumang broadcast ang mga SKYdirect subscribers.

Ibabalik/ire-refund po namin ang anumang prepaid load na hindi nagamit at mga postpaid advance payments as of June 30, 2020.

Maaaring makuha ang kanilang refund sa pamamagitan ng Customer Contact Form na ito.

  1. Sa web form, i-click ang EXISTING SKY SUBSCRIBER
  2. Isulat ang kumpletong impormasyon: Name, Email, Mobile Number
    Ilagay ang mobile number kung saan ninyo gustong matanggap ang telco load credit nakatumbas ng SKYdirect load na hindi nagamit
  3. Sa Account Number, isulat ang inyong Box ID
  4. Sa Location, piliin ang “Other”
  5. Sa Product Category, piliin ang “Direct”
  6. Sa Product Name, piliin ang inyong existing prepaid plan
  7. Sa Transaction Type, piliin ang “Service Request”
  8. I-type ang REFUND sa message box
  9. Tapos i-click ang SUBMIT
  10. Ang inyong request for refund ay mapa-process na within 7 working days simula July 10, 2020.

What happens to SKYdirect subscribers with the cease and desist order?

SKYdirect subscribers will no longer be able to load and view any broadcast.

We will refund all unconsumed prepaid loads and advance postpaid payments as of June 30, 2020.

Subscribers can get their refund via this Customer Contact Form.

  1. In the web form, select EXISTING SKY SUBSCRIBER
  2. Provide the following information: Name, Email, Mobile Number
    Please provide the mobile number that you prefer to receive the telco load credit equivalent to the unused SKYdirect load
  3. In Account Number, indicate Box ID
  4. In Location, select “Other”
  5. In Product Category, select “Direct”
  6. In Product Name, select existing prepaid plan
  7. In Transaction Type, select “Service Request”
  8. Type REFUND in the message box
  9. Then click SUBMIT
  10. Your refund request will be processed within 7 working days from July 10, 2020.

Subscribers can also request a refund via text. Refunds will be made via Globe/TM Prepaid Share-a-Load or Smart/TNT/Sun Prepaid Pasaload.

Will you refund pre-paid cards that are active and cards that were bought in advance?

Subscribers can get their refund of prepaid cards that are not yet loaded in the box via text. Refunds will be made via Globe/TM Prepaid Share-a-Load or Smart/TNT/Sun Prepaid Pasaload.

  1. To text, use the prepaid mobile number you prefer to receive the refund in the form of prepaid telco load credits
  2. Text: PREPAID REFUND <CARD / PIN SERIAL NUMBER> <PIN> to 23668.

    The prepaid card / pin serial number can be found on the prepaid card or ePIN receipt.
  3. You will receive this message: “Thank you for your message. Kung kayo ay nakapagpadala na ng request for refund, abangan lang ang prepaid load credits at confirmation message mula sa inyong mobile service provider within 7 working days simuly July 10, 2020.”

Opo, maaari ninyong gamitin ang inyong dish sa ibang provider. Gagawin namin ang lahat para magamit ninyo pa rin ang inyong box sa ibang provider.

Can I use my dish and box for another provider?
You may use your dish with another provider. We will exert efforts to have your box reusable with another provider.

Maaaring makuha ang kanilang refund sa pamamagitan ng Customer Contact Form on the MySky website (https://www.mysky.com.ph/metromanila/contact-us). Isulat ang kumpletong impormasyon kagaya ng Name, Email, Mobile Number. Ilagay ang mobile number kung saan ninyo gustong matanggap ang telco load credit na katumbas ng SKYdirect load na hindi nagamit. O sa pamamagitan ng pag-text ng PREPAID REFUND to 23668. Ang mga refunds ay ibabalik via via Globe/TM Prepaid Share-a-Load or Smart/TNT/Sun Prepaid Pasaload. Siguraduhing mag-text gamit ang iyong prepaid mobile number kung saan gusto mo matanggap ang inyong refund.

Ang PIN Serial Number ay makikita sa SKYdirect Prepaid Card o Electronic PIN receipt galing sa mga partner stores.

Maaari lamang mag-refund para sa isang box ID sa bawat mobile number.

Sa ngayon ay via telco credits pa lang ang refund na available.

Ang refund ay pro-rated katumbas ng araw na hindi pa nagagamit sa inyong prepaid plan as of Jun 29, 2020.

Kung kayo ay nakapagpadala na ng request for refund, abangan lang ang prepaid load credits at confirmation message mula sa inyong mobile service provider sa loob ng 7 working days. Maaari ding hindi naging successful ang inyong refund transaction kung ang inyong mobile number ay invalid o Postpaid number.

Ibabalik po namin ang anumang paid prepaid load na hindi nagamit at mga postpaid advance payments as of June 30, 2020. Hindi po kasama dito ang free days.
