Fox News End of Broadcast

October 20, 2017 04:30 PM

Beginning November 1, 2017, Fox news will no longer be available on SKY as mutually agreed between SKY and the Fox Network Group. With this development:

  • Fox News will no longer be part of the channel line up of SKYcable Gold, the Family Pack and the News Pack. These plans/packs will retain their current pricing.
  • Subscribers who availed of Fox News via SKY Select will no longer be billed for their subscription.

Fox News is currently on channel 112 in Metro Manila, CAMANAVA/Rizal, Cavite, Laguna and Bulacan and channel 510 in Bacolod, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Dumaguete, GenSan and Iloilo.

Why can’t I watch Fox News anymore?

Both the channel provider (Fox Network Group) and Sky have agreed to the discontinuation of the channel Fox News. We constantly seek to provide our customers with the best variety of content. However due to pressing reasons such as increasing costs and low viewership, changes sometimes have to be made in our line-up. Please be assured that we are engaging more channel partners to add more compelling content on our platform to give our subscribers the best TV-viewing experience. Thank you for your understanding.

Will this apply for all cable operators in the Philippines?

The agreement to discontinue the channel carriage of Fox News is between channel provider (Fox Network Group) and SKY.
