Emmys 2019: Where to Watch, Nominations and Top Picks

September 13, 2019 03:59 PM

The 71st Emmy Awards is fast approaching, and with record-breaking nominations and plenty of first-time nominees, it’s sure to be an exciting night! See which of your favorite shows and actors will be going home big on September 23, Monday at 8:00AM live on FOX Life, with Primetime Encore at 8:00PM.

Game of Thrones draws many eyes as it garnered a whopping record 32 nominations for its final season – although how many awards it’ll actually go home with is anybody's guess. Other top-nominated series include HBO’s comedy series, Barry, with 9 Primetime nominations; Netflix’s miniseries, When They See Us, with 11; The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, earning 7; and Chernobyl, and Killing Eve, earning 6 nominations apiece.

Amy Adams earns herself her first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in HBO’s Sharp Objects. Joining her in the list of first time nominees this year are Jodie Comer for BBC’s Killing Eve, Billy Porter for FX’s Pose, and Anthony Carrigan for HBO’s Barry, to name a few.

In honor of all the series we’re bidding goodbye to this year, the 71st Emmys will be hostless, giving time instead to properly bid farewell to beloved favorites including Game of Thrones, Empire, Veep, and Big Bang Theory.

Not going to be around for the LIVE premiere? No worries! You can still catch the Primetime encore of the Emmy Awards at 8:00PM on FOX Life.

You can also see your fave Hollywood stars strut down the red carpet with the live coverages on E! at 6:00AM and FOX Life at 7:30AM.
