80s and 90s kids – and Speilberg fans – will have a blast finding all the pop culture easter eggs and references planted throughout this book adaptation. While there’s a teensy tiny bit of romance in the movie, it’s not over the top, nor is it the main point, so you can rest easy.

Okay, hear us out. Compared to your typical cheesy, run-of-the-mill love dramas, Harry and Patty will have you in stitches, if not at least pleasantly surprised by their realistic take on true love. At the very least, if you’re the type to criticize romantic movies, this will keep you entertained.

In this Korean school drama, introverted student Jang Mi-Rae slowly learns about the world and begins to connect with other people.
More than just a story of an ordinary girl’s growth, this slice of life film touches on very real social issues. What’s great about it is that it stays realistic up to the very end, leaving a thought provoking resolution, instead of a fairy tale ending, like some movies do.

When three different animals become infected with a dangerous pathogen, a primatologist and a geneticist team up to stop them from destroying Chicago.
Some blockbusters don’t have much in the ways of plot – but they make it up with well-done CGI effects, and big stars. Rampage is one of these movies, and they went really big with both, getting Dwayne Johnson in a bro-apemance with a gigantic gorilla (and wrestling two other gargantuan mutant animals).

Despite its romance-related problems, Unli Life serves unlimited laughs for the most part. It’s a perfect pick for a feel-good movie, taking you on a wild roller coaster filled with laughs, and a surprisingly sweet and sentimental ending.
