Top 10 Netflix Shows for your Family

December 04, 2017 01:41 PM

When everyone in your household has different interests (and ages!), it isn’t easy to find a show you will want to watch together. Instead, you end up streaming on different devices, which, admittedly, is easy to do with One Sky.

But what about the bonding? What about the missed opportunity to discuss over dinner something you’ve all seen? And at One Sky’s high fiber speeds at that!

We’ve rounded up 10 family-friendly shows you and your kids can check out and enjoy together. They all have a rating of 7+, so they're age-appropriate for your grade schoolers and will be fun for teens and parents too!

1. FREE REIN

Fifteen-year-old Zoe visits her grandfather’s picturesque home in England for the summer to get away from the drama back home in America. Instead, she encounters completely new adventures that aren’t necessarily drama-free (and include riding a horse).

2. TRANSFORMERS PRIME

Your kids will love watching Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and the other Autobots battle Megatron and the Decepticons the way you did when you were younger. Only this time, the Autobots also find themselves responsible for three kids who have accidentally discovered them.

3. THE WORST WITCH

When a young girl on a broomstick crash-lands on Mildred’s balcony, she learns about Cackle’s Academy. What started as her helping Maud get to school changes Mildred’s life forever when she begins training to be a witch herself!

4. RICHIE RICH

This show will appeal to adults too because it’s a different take on the classic Richie Rich story. In this version, Richie earns his trillion dollars by converting his uneaten veggies into a new energy source!

5. FULLER HOUSE

A nostalgic show for parents who used to watch Full House. Your family will enjoy the new adventures of the Tanner family, 29 years later, as DJ’s sister Stephanie and her friend Kimmy come to live with DJ and her kids in the old Tanner San Francisco home.

6. VOLTRON 84

Take your kids back in time to watch 12 special episodes chosen by the cast and crew of new show Voltron: Legendary Defender. They claim these 12 from the original anime series inspired their work today.

7. THE BLUE PLANET

The creatures of the ocean never fail to fascinate kids and adults alike. This documentary series narrated by David Attenborough explores what life is like in the deep blue.

8. MAKO MERMAIDS

When Zac, who is on a camping trip on Mako Island, falls into the Moon Pool, he is turned into a merman! And it’s up to the three mermaids who were supposed to be guarding the pool to turn him back into a human or they risk being cast out of their mermaid community.

9. GOOD WITCH

Dr. Sam Radford and his son move next door to Cassie Nightingale and her daughter. When Sam notices that Cassie can do things that regular people can’t really do, he becomes suspicious of his new neighbor.

10. TROLLHUNTERS

A cartoon that will grab the interest of parents too, Trollhunters is about 15-year-old James who finds a mystical amulet that will help him protect his town from evil trolls.
