The X Factor UK is thrilled to announce that Robbie Williams, Ayda Williams and Louis Tomlinson will join Simon Cowell on the new-look judging panel for the hit singing talent show.
Premiering its 15th season this September, it’ll be the first time the show will have a husband and wife, as well as a former contestant, among the judges.
With over 75 million albums sold throughout his career, and a whopping 18 BRIT Awards in the bag, Robbie Williams has more than earned the title of global superstar. For the past year, Robbie has been playing to sold out stadiums all over the world, for his platinum-selling “The Heavy Entertainment Show” since its release in November 2016.
His wife, Ayda Williams, will be competing against Robbie, armed with invaluable insight on the inner workings of the music industry. Her first-hand knowledge of what it takes to forge a successful career will no doubt be an indispensable asset if she wants to claim this year’s winning spot on the show.
The last addition to this season’s judges is Louis Tomlinson, a former contestant of the show. As a member of UK’s biggest selling act, One Direction, he’s sold more than 150 million records worldwide, and achieved over 100 global No1s. As a solo artist, Louis recently won the 2018 iHeartRadio award for Best Solo Breakout, with his hit single “Back to You” topping the charts in over 37 countries.
Music mogul and show creator Simon has been the mastermind behind some of the music industry’s biggest acts from Leona Lewis and One Direction to Little Mix and James Arthur. Acts from The X Factor UK have sold more than 250 million records globally to date.
Also returning for this season are Sharon Osbourne, as a judge for The X Factor UK’s live shows, and Dermot O’Leary, as presenter.
