The 25th Rising Stars will pit 10 first- and second-year NBA players from the United States against 10 first- and second-year NBA players from around the world in the league’s annual showcase of premier young talent during NBA All-Star. MTN DEW ICE will serve as the title partner, expanding on its continued commitment to supporting up-and-coming stars throughout the sport.
Who to Look Out For
Reigning Kia NBA Rookie of the Year Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers is definitely one of the top names of – if not the – Rising Stars this season, and he’s doing it while doubling as a full-fledged All-Star.
Close behind him is Rising Star Luka Dončić, two-time reigning Kia NBA Rookie of the Month, over at the Western Conference side.2017-18 Rookie of the Year runner-up Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz joins them atop the list of players selected to play the Rising Stars Challenge.
With John Collins, De'Aaron Fox, Jayson Tatum, Lauri Markkanen, Deandre Ayton and Jaren Jackson Jr. filling up that roster, it promises to be a talent showcase that’ll go down in history.

While not everyone will agree, there is some merit as to why the Slam Dunk Contest is considered the highlight of the NBA All-Star Weekend. Despite having a relatively short roster compared to the other two events, the Slam Dunk Contest puts the spotlight on the player’s creativity.
And All-Star players can be loaded with them.
There is no doubt that half a dozen 3-pointers in a row is incredible to see. Nor is a smooth run on the skills challenge any less jaw dropping. But the originality and skill players get to show off at the dunk contest guarantees the audience something they’ve never seen before.
Remember the 50-pointer delivered by Dennis Smith last year?
Feb 18 – 68th NBA All-Star Game: Team Le Bron vs Team Giannis
When: Monday, Feb. 18 | 9:20AM, LIVE from the Spectrum Center
Where to Watch: BTV, NBA Premium (Coverage begins at 8:00AM)
Check out who’s on the All-Star Roster »
As the All-Star starters who led their respective conferences in fan votes during NBA All-Star Voting 2019 presented by Google, Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James and Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo serve as team captains and drafted the All-Star Game rosters from the pool of players voted as starters and reserves in each conference.
Here’s how the two picked their players »
All-Star Games of the past often had the Western Conference team overpowering the Eastern Conference team, with an imbalanced roster that skewered to the West. But this year’s All-Star Game roster is so saturated with skilled players on both sides, that it’ll be a tough match to call.
Definitely not an All-Star Game you’d dare miss out on.
