THE OUTSIDER
Premieres January 13, Monday
Same time as U.S. at 10am
Based on Stephen King’s bestselling novel of the same name, THE OUTSIDER is a new drama series that explores the investigation into the gruesome murder of a local boy and the mysterious force surrounding the case.
Debuting same time as the U.S. on Monday, 13 January at 10am with two episodes back-to-back on HBO GO and HBO with an encore telecast on the same day at 10pm on HBO, new episodes of this ten-episode series will premiere every Monday at the same time. The series follows police detective Ralph Anderson (Ben Mendelsohn), as he sets out to investigate the mutilated body of 11-year-old Frankie Peterson found in the Georgia woods. The mysterious circumstances surrounding this horrifying crime leads Ralph, still grieving the recent death of his own son, to bring in unorthodox private investigator Holly Gibney (Cynthia Erivo), whose uncanny abilities he hopes will help explain the unexplainable.
CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM
New Season
Premieres January 20, Monday
Same time as U.S. at 11:30 am
HBO Emmy® and Golden Globe®-winning comedy series CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM returns same time as the U.S. on Monday, 20 January at 11:30 am exclusively on HBO GO and HBO. The episode encores on the same day at 11.30pm on HBO.
Larry David is back – as Larry David – stumbling through one faux-pas after another in an all-new season of the award-winning, hit comedy series.
As candid, unsparing and outrageous as ever, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM revolves around a fictionalised, gleefully misanthropic version of David as a ubiquitous camera chronicles the private, often banal world of this (relatively) public man. The series continues to prove how seemingly trivial details of one's day-to-day life – a cold cup of coffee, a stained shirt, a missing toothbrush – can precipitate a chain of misfortune to hilarious effect. To keep the narrative spontaneous, the series is shot without a script and cast members are given scene outlines and often improvise lines as they go.
AVENUE 5
Premieres January 20, Monday
Same time as U.S. at 11:00 am
Created by Armando Iannucci of “Veep,” AVENUE 5 which premieres same time as the U.S. on 20 January at 11am on HBO GO and HBO, is set 40 years in the future when traveling the solar system is no longer the stuff of sci-fi fantasy, but a booming, multibillion-dollar business.
The series stars Hugh Laurie as Ryan Clark, the confident and suave captain of “Avenue 5,” a space cruise ship with luxury amenities like gourmet buffets, a spa, an observation deck and yoga classes. As the series begins, Avenue 5’s eight-week journey around Saturn is underway and its systems are optimal. But when the ship suddenly encounters technical difficulties, it’s up to Ryan and his crew to calm the disgruntled passengers and find a way to deal with unexpected events onboard – though they may or may not be equipped for the task.
